A New Vision

Cetrom started in 2001 based on the vision of a different IT services model.
This concept would offer several top-level benefits:

  • It would eliminate the need for companies to maintain large internal IT departments
to manage technology services and support.
  • It would alleviate the stress of the recurring capital expense budget needed
to upgrade hardware and software at the end of their lifecycles.
  • It would give companies the ability to scale their IT costs monthly relative to their specific
needs as they add or remove users and services.
  • It would preserve a company's ability to deploy / engineer any custom technology solutions
that are necessary for normal business operations.

Cetrom envisioned delivering clients a full spectrum of IT services as an operational expense, just like a utility company. This structure would offer companies enhanced “enterprise level” services and support with the benefits of lower costs and greater flexibility. With this approach, businesses would be better able to focus on the two things that matter most: satisfying their customers and increasing their core business market share.

That vision is now here. It’s called "Cloud Computing," and Cetrom stands at the forefront of bringing these benefits to all types of organizations—including government, private and nonprofit.
