Certification culminates year of growth and accomplishments for cloud service solutions provider
VIENNA, Va. – March 9, 2014 – Cetrom Information Technology, Inc. (Cetrom), an industry-leading provider of custom cloud solutions that transform the way SMBs succeed, announces it has completed the intensive audit regulations defined by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is one of the first cloud solutions providers in the country to be awarded the Service Organization Control (SOC 2) Type II certification. This certification concludes a year of milestone accomplishments for Cetrom, including adding 20 new clients and expanding its Mt. Airy, Maryland satellite office, which will be used for training and ongoing education for its engineers.
To achieve the SOC 2 certification, Cetrom was required to complete security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy reports that demonstrate the company’s ability to meet or exceed industry standards to safeguard data. A rigorous process that reviews the entirety of organizational operations and personnel, the comprehensive audit, conducted by an independent third party, evaluates the design and efficacy of security controls and backup procedures. Compliance with AICPA’s process means the measures instituted by Cetrom are not only appropriate, but strictly maintained and enforced.
