For the fourth year in a row, we made the trip last week into the District for Protech Fusion 2014, Protech Associates’ annual customer conference. Fusion is always a great experience, and a wonderful chance for us to mix and mingle with association executives and staff members.
This year, we noticed a major shift in how many association professionals view the cloud. Always on the forefront of innovation, executives and staff members alike previously wanted to know more about the cloud and why they should consider using it. But now, due in large part to using the cloud through Protech’s cloud-based AMS, association professionals have done their research, they know the benefits and are trying to figure out what other problems the cloud can solve for them. The Cetrom team eagerly listened to a wide variety of challenges associations were facing, many of which extended well beyond the basics of the cloud. Our team noted how moving other business applications to the cloud could help surmount these challenges and provide benefits to their associations on top of those acquired through Protech Cloud Business Solutions. Increased staff productivity, flexible scalability and unlimited accessibility offer a near perfect case.
One of the biggest challenges association professionals now face is waiting for the annual budget season so they can propose a move to the cloud.
