Job Posting: Systems Engineer

Cetrom is a growing, fast-paced cloud computing provider with clients across the United States. We are actively recruiting a new Systems Engineer to support our growing client base as Priority Support. The Systems Engineer is the primary contact for all incoming client service requests and answers support desk calls and email-generated tickets as their primary role. Systems Engineers meticulously document each step of the troubleshooting process in the ticketing system, ensuring efficient and accurate service while handling the triage, troubleshooting, and resolution of Tier 1 issues. On average, Systems Engineers manage 5 to 10 tickets in their personal queue and handle 15 to 18 calls per day.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Knowledge of desktop applications
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, conducive to team development
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting skills
  • Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Capable of managing tasks efficiently in a dynamic, high-demand environment
  • Skilled in delivering professional and respectful customer service
  • Cultivates a collaborative atmosphere that encourages employees to develop into adaptable and well-rounded technicians.

Desired Skills:

  • Knowledge of or experience with virtualization and cloud computing technology (VMWare/Citrix)
  • Assists remote users with application support and VPN access configuration.
  • Experience with SQL, Microsoft 365, Exchange, DNS, DFS
  • Experience building and configuring the network infrastructure to support and secure high-availability solutions
  • Experience building and troubleshooting multi-tiered networks using routing, VLANs, etc.
    Knowledge of current networking technologies including TCP/IP, Routing Protocols and VPNs

  • Professional in appearance, demeanor, and delivery
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident status required for employment

Certification, Education & Work Experience Requirements (preferred):

  • CompTIA A+ or equivalent certification(s)
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology or related subject
  • 1-2+ years direct experience required in the management and administration of supporting users and computers.
