Job Posting: Technical Documentation Specialist

Cetrom is a growing, fast-paced cloud solutions provider with clients across the United States. An ideal candidate for the Technical Documentation Specialist position comes with experience building, improving, and maintaining internal and external-facing training programs, including technical knowledge base articles. Excellent technical writing skills are essential for this position.
The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience and meet all the requirements below.
Responsibilities include:
- Write, edit, and review technical guides, SOPs, manuals, tutorials, and knowledgebase articles, ensuring they are clear, concise, and consistent.
- Manage and maintain our internal and external knowledge base, ensuring that it is accessible, searchable, and up-to-date.
- Collaborate with our technical experts, project managers, and stakeholders to identify training needs, objectives, and outcomes.
- Evaluate and assess the effectiveness and impact of our training programs using various methods and metrics.
- Plan, design, develop, and deliver technical training programs for our clients and employees using various formats and platforms.
- Research and stay updated on the latest trends, tools, and best practices in technical writing and training.
Skills/experience required:
- Bachelor's degree in technical writing, instructional design, education, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in technical writing and training, preferably in the IT industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple and engaging terms.
- Proficient in using various tools and platforms for creating and delivering technical training, such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft Copilot, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft SharePoint, etc.
- Strong knowledge of technical writing and training standards, methodologies, and best practices.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively, managing multiple projects and deadlines.
- Detail-oriented, creative, and problem-solving mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills conducive to team development.
Skills desired:
- Knowledge of or experience with training documentation platforms, including IT Glue, MyGlue, Autotask, HubSpot, Microsoft SharePoint, etc.
- Knowledge of or experience with virtualization and cloud computing technology (VMWare/Citrix).
- Experience/participation in enterprise technology planning and strategy development.
